Although the DIAL is impeccable and marked "POLARIS", it is not original Porcelain dial.  It is a metal reproduction.  Still better than marked "SOUTH BEND" dial.

NOTE: Although the watch runs great, we do not have service history for this watch.  When setting, moving counter clockwise position, there is a little clicking noise, but setting clockwise, it is fine.  Nevertheless, we highly recommend having this magnificent watch service, oiled, and running tip-top shape...
